The EES Board of Directors is proud to announce the establishment of The Robin Layton Advocacy and Engagement Legacy Fund in honor of her retirement from EES after 38 years of service.

As President and CEO, Robin Layton grew EES into one of San Diego County’s largest and most respected providers of quality early care and education services. Robin expanded EES operations from just 3 schools in 1984 to 19 EES early education centers located throughout San Diego County. Under Robin’s leadership, EES increased student capacity from 100 children to 1,300 per year, as well as cultivated a highly professional, dedicated teaching staff of 40 employees in 1984 to 200 employees today.

Robin continues to be a tireless advocate for state and local policies to increase teacher retention through fair and professional wages. Robin has been a voice for children and their families, including her current service as a Council member on California Governor Gavin Newsom’s Early Childhood Policy Council.

Still, there is work to be done.

Please consider donating to The Robin Layton Advocacy and Engagement Legacy Fund which will support EES’s growth, advocacy, and increased engagement with families and community partners..
